bloodyproudpotterhead: youweremovingyourfeet: I’m sure this had been said before but I’d like to thank Ted Lasso 2x10, and these two frames in particular, for giving me the most visceral experience of how a sudden panic attack feels to me. I’ll be happily singing along to a song, avoiding thinking about something that’s stressing me out and then suddenly bam! trigger. A crack in the performance I’m giving only to myself, and the heavy breathing and ringing in my ears starts. A lot of shows portray panic attacks, and many of them I’m sure are realistic to other people, but this show was the first in my experience to so accurately portray what its like to feel like one snuck up on you while you were doing the mental equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and humming. How you can be so sure that everything is going to be just fine one second, and be unable to breathe the next.Man I love this show. I didn’t know I’ve had panic attacks before until I watched this series. All this time I thought it was just me being nervous. I am forever grateful for this show, for making me realize about my mental health issues. He started squeezing his fingers and I knew what was happening. Only someone who has had panic attacks could write this episode. It was so real. -- source link
