Very Unusual Elbaite - Otjimbingwe Farm 104, Karibib District, Erongo Region, NamibiaWhile the coloration and form start off ‘normal’ enoughwith medium pink tint and equally normal, elongated prisms, thesituation changes radically at the terminations where the normalpink abruptly ceases and weird black terminal zones with fuzzy,brush-like textures appear. There are actual hair-like prisms atthe tips of the various crystals. Luster is glassy on the pink andsatiny, fuzzy on the black. -- source link
