YOI5AE is an event created to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the airing of Yuri!! On Ice, a show that was beloved by so many anime fans because of the conversations it started about MLM relationships, mental health, career stagnation, older main characters, etc. The event is set to open with sign-ups on the date of the first episode, October 6, and end with posting on the date of the airing of the final episode, December 22. You can find the full schedule here. The requirements for the event are pretty relaxed as this is meant to be a fun event. Writers should aim for a fic of 2,000 words, artists should have one complete work, and graphics-makers should have a set of 6 images.The main event – the exchange portion – is only available to those who sign up. However, there will be two mini-events on Yuuri’s and Viktor’s birthdays that will be open for anyone to participate. Check the FAQ for more information! The event schedule is hammered out to match the airing of the show, but I would like to use this interest check to see if people are interested and what they think of the minimum requirements and the mini-events!
