edwarddespard:I’ve been so flat out busy with a work project that, unbelievably, I’ve barely looked at the letter about the uprising since it arrived. Project is now done and it’s the 6 June here now, so I have it scanned and ready to send to those kind souls who offered to help translate it. It is the oddest feeling to be holding a letter written the day the barricades fell. In an odd little quirk, the writer mistakenly dated it 1830 - something picked up by someone who has annotated the error in pencil (this same person also wrote in the corner of the first page that it was “lettre de plus interessante [undecipherable partly erased text]”.As you can see in the images above, on the back, with the address, is a post mark - 6 Juin 1832. -- source link
