@Regrann_App from @kemet_anu - #Repost @african.proverbs・・・Where you fall and where you slip sounds the same but are fundamentally different. Slipping precedes the fall. Slipping is the cause and the fall is the consequence. This proverb means that you should not merely look at your mistake; rather look at what caused the mistake. And when you know what caused you to make that mistake it is then that you can prevent the same or similar mistake. Learn, because when you know better, you will or can do better. Another African proverb says, what causes misfortune also teaches wisdom. In other words, every mistake offers a lesson. Your life is not a failure because you fell. Your life is a failure because you do not learn from your mistake(s). Don’t go through life blaming and regretting! Learn and move on. Don’t allow your mistakes to blind. Allow the lesson to light you path ahead. Often, what keeps us from acquiring the valuable lessons in our falls is pride. If you give pride the wheels of your life, it will take you for a ride. As you may know, to take a person for a ride means to deceive or lie to the person. Wherever there is pride there is to be found some lies or deception. It is impossible to find pride without a lingering lie or deception. If you are proud, there are lies you’re holding on to. Be unfaltering! #TagAFriendToHearThis - #regrann #StayWoke -- source link
