He throws the device as if finally: “I thought to feel this well-being but no”, even that, it does not work anymore.And to even more describe this full scene (which I find incredible again with Tom), Loki just wanted to be alone. He just wanted for a few seconds to breathe and some silence, after this intense shock to see his life and death passing in front of him too atrociously. And even there, he could not.
