Hey all, Insomniac Games unveiled a new company logo this morning! The studio made an official announcement on their blog discussing the decision to make the change, in addition to providing some historical background on the company itself. The logo aims to showcase Insomniac’s forward-thinking direction as the studio moves beyond the moon into new, exciting horizons. Simply, the change reflects the company’s evolution. But that’s not to say they’re abandoning their past! As some long-time fans may note, the new design shares similarities with previous logos, including the inclusion of the iconic ‘O’ comprised of not one, but TWO MOONS, the serif ‘N’, and the placement of “Games” on the bottom right. While I’ll miss seeing the iconic “Full Moon” logo fade in and out of intro screens, I can’t tell you how hyped I’ll be when this new design props up in Insomniac’s next game, which I assume will be Spider-Man PS4. I’ll ask and confirm on Twitter.EDIT: Confirmed: The Unspoken will be updated to include the new logo first. Anyway, you like fun facts?Since revealing the last logo over 15 years ago, Insomniac Games has:Released 25 games for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Oculus Rift virtual reality, mobile devices, PC and web browsersLaunched 13 new game franchises across multiple genres and platformsGrown from approximately 50 employees to 275-plus spanning two studios on both coastsSeen more than 200 babies of employees enter the worldEarned 18 workplace culture awards at the local, regional, state and national levelOn that note, stop by Insomniac Games’ Twitch stream at 1:30 p.m. (PDT) for a new community event with James Stevenson and the crew in their new studio setup!
