Posted @withregram • @blessingmanifesting Years ago when I started practicing #DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) I learned how important coping skills were and also that I didn’t have any healthy ones. Learning how to make ourselves feel better is a pretty underrated talent. When to self-soothe:When you’re having a stressful day or anxiousDealing with big life changes like grief or heartacheExperiencing emotional exhaustion or feeling burned outFeeling overwhelmed by your emotionsFeeling like you want to be self-destructiveSensitivity to feelings and emotion and the world around youSelf-soothing is different for everyone. Find what works for you. Some people are drawn to one category of self-soothing and others pull a few things from each.If you’re feeling a little sensitive, choose a few things from each category to do today and see if it helps a bit. What’s your favorite way to self-soothe?#dialecticalbehaviortherapy #copingskills #therapyskills #selfsoothing #mentalhealthtips #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawarenesshttps://www.instagram.com/p/CHN4OhhjJXtumk4Z8xpWoxTKPSnTR83mmAQ4UI0/?igshid=172b95bgw7og8 -- source link
