sanaeozora:After 24 thrilling races, these are the two images I want to keep:The first one, Mick holding himself onto his car, overcome with probably a myriad of emotions, from everything he’s had to go thru in his still short life to get to that moment, probably taking a minute to thank his beautiful #20 F2 2018 Dallara, for bringing him home safely after the latest hard fought battle, also probably thinking about his father, hoping he’s as proud of him, as Mick is of his Prema Team. And after spending over 6 years silencing the doubters with sheer willpower and hard work and undeniable talent, he’s managed to clinch the second major junior series title of his career. And this one is the one that makes him enter the big boys club as a winner. The second one, is the pair of talents and good friends who should have reached F1 together as team mates. And the beauty of this picture is seeing Callum Ilott, 2020 F2 runner up, looking like he’s consoling the man who has beaten him to the title, almost as though saying: “it’s done Mick, now you can rest, the pressure is off”.I sure hope we will see Callum in F1 in 2022, because the battle these two had this year needs a second chapter, a sequel. It almost feels like we just ended in a cliff-hanger, and we need to see what these two can do with bigger machines. Just for saying, it’s been almost 4 months and I am still crying over this -- source link
