thesteezyhplover:When I think of superhero movies they have always fallen or risen based on one factor. The villain of the story. If the antagonist is bland and uninteresting the film has to fight an upward battle to do succeed. If the villain is three dimensional and compelling however its difficult for the movie to fail. That’s always been my belief. In my eyes Loki is the personification of a compelling and three dimensional villain. The motivations for his actions are not crazy or hard to comprehend. They are very real. Loki is primarily fueled by feelings of jealousy and frustration. Those are very authentic motivations and every single person in the world has felt them at one point. This makes him a really relatable person. On the other hand he also has a really playful side, loving to play pranks and tricks on all his adversaries. He is the God of Mischief after all. He is portrayed flawlessly by Tom Hiddleston who manages to just shine immaculately in The Avengers. In each scene that he was in he brought a sense of wit and pure intensity. In that movie he symbolized sheer perfection and truly emitted a sense of menace throughout the movie. Loki is just an impeccable character and his involvement is enough to guarantee a brilliant story. After two amazing movies he has knocked off the Joker to become my absolute favorite villain of all time! Here’s to me hoping to see him in many, many more movies!“I am Loki of Asgard and I am burdened with glorious purpose” -- source link
