He was succeeded on the throne by his nine year old son, who reigned as Louis XIII.Exactly 33 years later, on May 14th of 1643, Louis XIII would die of tuberculosis in Paris. He was succeeded on the throne by his then just four year old son, who would rule as the infamous Louis XIV and would go on to become the longest reigning monarch in European history, ruling France for 72 years, 110 days. -- source link
