When Disney needed wonky, quirky, less-than-perfect, amateur-looking lettering for a new show logo, they knew who to call. Actually, that’s not quite right… Having worked previously with creator Alex Hirsch, as well as with art director, all-around creative maestro, Ian Worrel, I was honored to have a hand in working on this title card for the new hit show, Gravity Falls. (Which, if you have not yet watched it, you’re seriously missing out.) The concept behind the look was to make it appear like an old postcard found in a local tourist shop in the heart of Gravity Falls, the mysterious city the show is based upon. After receiving an initial sketch from Alex and a lot of help and guidance from Ian, we finally got it all pulled together and approved. -Willco -- source link
