bob-artist:kezhound:deamhan:youknowyourebi:asianwithshorthair:omg YESstyle does not equal sexualityyepShaved my head to raise funds for cancer research. Moved to a new city to start school and everyone thought I was 1) vegan and 2) lesbian based on my short hair. Made for some interesting interactions. Anyway, this infocomic is very accurate.I was often mistaken for a lesbian up until I finished college. I kept (and still keep) short hair because it’s easier to care for, it suits my bone structure better, and it’s less of a hassle/obstacle/safety hazard. I also shaved my head in college to donate my hair. In high school and college, I dressed more gender neutral for various reasons, and I’ve always supported gender equality and had little interest in dating and stereotypical “feminine” things. I guess that translates as “lesbian” to a lot of people. It doesn’t offend me in the slightest to be mistaken for a lesbian, but it does offend me that people think all lesbians must have these certain qualities, and that people think these qualities are not acceptable (or don’t “make sense”) in a straight girl. -- source link
