Alright folks. I have been trying to learn unity since the start of October and thought I would do my best to make a game before the end of the month and I have done it. Is it a bit of a mess, for sure. are all the assets perfect, haha, no. But I have reached the end of my deadline now and am ready enough to show it to everyone. please take a look at it here: https://dndpkmn.com/Halloween/(note, its takes a hot second to load in and DO NOT full screen it or it will all break lol) The game is very simple. Just a two player side scroller really, but you got to start somewhere.note: I would like to give a huge thanks to @ask-october-fox who was amazing enough to let me use her characters for my first real shot at making a video game in unity. Go check out their blog if you want to know more about their characters.More info bellow the cutSo. I have always wanted to learn how to make video games for ages now but only recently started actually to try my hand at it. At the start of the month I decided that I was going to make a game by the end of the month if it was at all possible and I surprised myself with what I was able to do. All the assets are made out of clay and all the coding was done by me (with a few tips and random questions to some good friends).why did I make them out of clay you ask? Well, its actually quite simple, its what I know so why not give it a try? The animation on it is a bit janky still but that all comes with the learning prosses. I want to keep working on games to try to get better at coding and eventually make something more then just a simple side scroller.I really enjoyed doing this and it did the job I was hoping from it, getting comfortable with Unity.thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point. -- source link
