It’s not much impressed from what he read, especially for the undeserved treatment received by Gwen in literature during the centuries, and decides it’s time to remove a pebble or two from his shoe, so to speak.Merlin doesn’t like Arthur’s efforts to ruin his secret identity of Gaius de Bois and wouldn’t definitely want the cabbage head in his class: who knows what the clotpole could do, in front of all his students!Poor Vice-Chancellor, he really wants the Once and Future King to hold a lecture but “the Great Merlin” is too protective of both king and nephew! The legend of the Once and Future King is real and the people of England are eagerly awaiting for his return. Officially Merlin (with the appearance of Dragoon the Great) is known to hide somewhere and it’s said that he will reveal himself when his king will be back; for now Merlin lives his life as the young Professor Gaius de Bois, teaching Medieval History at the University of Avalon and being a renowned historian for his expertise in the Matter of Britain.When Arthur finally emerges from the Lake of Avalon, he can live his new modern life without changing name nor hiding his true identity, while Merlin returns and keeps his two identities: the official old warlock and the young Professor, claiming that the young Gaius is his nephew.Although the fact they are lovers is just a rumor, and they’ve never given any hint that the rumor is true, Arthur and Merlin are in a romantic relationship so they do share the royal bed.Intrigued by the fact people had told his story, Arthur - without a kingdom to rule and generally something to do with his time - embarks on the quest to read all books and see all movies and shows about him, to either laugh or wonder what exactly Merlin had done in all these centuries when people twisted the true story about Camelot into something that has little to do with the original. He eventually discovers social media and becomes pretty much addicted to it. He will go down the Hell path when he will eventually sign up to Tumblr, but that’s another story for another graphic…The University of Avalon is a prestigious and old university established in the town build near the shores of the Lake of Avalon, and it’s dedicated to classical studies. Merlin, under the name of Gaius de Bois and with the physical appearance of his young self as he looked back in Camelot, works there as professor of Medieval History.
