subtilitas: Martin Rauch’s house, designed in conjunction with Roger Bolthauser in Schlins, completed in 2008. Embedded in the narrow hillside plot, all of the house’s materials, from the rammed-earth exterior walls, the aggregate for the smooth poured concrete interiors, to the custom clay floor tiles, are made from soil based materials.
