Paul and I have been practicing good social distancing. We no longer take showers together, and one of us always stands behind a wall of glass while the other uses the sink (and washes their hands while singing Happy Birthday.) I believe the CDC also recommends wearing a towel while taking a shower…at least that’s what I read on a friend-of-a-friends Twitter feed with the hashtag #quarantinelifehacksthatreallywork On a serious note, the world is a strange place these days. Today, on our rainy morning walk, we saw three friends parked outside of an empty bookstore; each of them had their own minivan with the trunk popped open to face each other. They were sitting in the back, wrapped in blankets while clutching hot coffees, lost in a conversation. We wanted to take a picture, but resisted the urge. It really captured this moment in time…despite the need for distance, we find creative ways to connect with each other. How are you connecting with your friends and family during this time of physical distancing? Hopefully you’re not getting any tips from my friend-of-a-freind’s Twitter feed. -- source link
