minervacasterly:On the 19th of May 1554, Lady Elizabeth Tudor was released from the Tower of London and moved to Woodstock where she was placed under house arrest. The day of her mother’s execution probably lived in her memory. Though Elizabeth would have been very little at the time to have any real recollection of her mother other than images and some words spoken to her; her fate was something that was very known to everyone and Elizabeth’s experience in the Tower must have been daunting -given that her maternal uncle and her mother never made it out of here alive. Also the day she was released, was the eighteenth year anniversary of her mother’s execution. -- source link
