Big Splash splasher upsWith 37 entries, it was obligatory to do a runner up post! Congrats Vasilia, Vengeful Debtor @bread-into-toastOh the Haunt entries.. every single one was stellar, they all could have been in this spot or even among the winners but it was a touch call. You definetely restored my faith in the mecahinc! As for Vasilia, she would make an insane commander, planting ghostly bombs all around the battlefield. A really smart design, maybe a bit undercosted but the challenge cared more about turning heads than game balance. Hope WOTC revisits Haunt!Nirman, Deckstacker @karkatvantasticvantasA really fun card that tells a story and showcases the chosen mechanic in a very creative way. Also props for considering loops and a way to cash out your victory. 5 treasures for three cards is a good deal, but I think the the card could play better with slightly smaller numbers. P.S. Sad Nirman isn’t a pirate :(Tristen, Doubting Cathar/Guardian of Wittal @hiygamerTristen is a pretty dramatic and powerful card, being 100% true to the nature of the mechanic. What I loved most about it though was the built in life loss, not only because it supports the card mechanically but also because it emphasizes the despair of fighting a seemingly lost fight! If the design challenge was about flavor and creating strong moments, I would personally come over to give you the flavor medal! -- source link
