Despite the legalization of gay marriage within countries such as the United States, Australia still fails to afford matrimonial rights to its homosexual citizens, as well as denying surrogacy and adoption rights in some states. Although it is clearly evident that a large portion of the population supports these causes, Australian policy chooses to reflect an antiquated attitude of intolerance, rather than embracing and accepting the new generations freedom to love who they choose, and share that love with a child if they so desire to do so. @maddyyoung -- source link
