freudsblog: That day I went to prison with a young woman. She wanted to interview Manson for some local newspaper. When we arrived, Charles was already sitting in a room. I don’t know why, maybe because he knew that I wanted to take some pictures of him, or because there was a woman with me, Manson’s body language changed. His thick beard was gone. He looked very neat. He was wearing blue jeans with patches and a blue shirt. The woman I came with had an average look, she wasn’t very beautiful nor she was ugly. However, just a minute after Manson started to talk to her, she blossomed. She was the most beautiful woman on Earth. They both were ignoring me, and I knew that now I have a moment to observe Manson’s behavior. It was fascinating. He was very polite, courteous. His prison slang and sarcastic jokes disappeared. In a moment he was already holding her hand, talking to her while she was carefully listening. He got up, walked behind her and began massaging her neck and shoulders. She was sitting with her eyes closed smiling gratefully. He casually reached his arm across the table and took the lead from our tape recorder. Suddenly, Manson looked at me and winked. He wrapped the lead around her neck. She bulged her eyes and gave me a begging look. Manson slightly tightened up the lead and said “ What do you think Emmons? Should I kill this little bitch?” The moment I started thinking about saving her, Manson laughed and loosened the lead, saying “ See bitch, now you won’t trust strangers”. I still don’t know why Manson decided to frighten this woman, but I will never forget how he changed his mood, his body language. This man could make people trust him and then kill them. - Nuel Emmons -- source link
