Everything I have ever read/been told about Wolfgang Kiessling states the exact opposite - that he does not care about these animals. It is because of him, and him alone, that the orcas had to undergo horrific endoscopy procedures because he refused to use the more expensive paint despite being told that the whales would eat the cheap paint. So he basically jeopardized the lives of the orcas in order to save some money on paint. That is not someone who cares. Three days after arriving from the US, he had the whales performing in a show. They were given no time to recover from the long, stressful journey, no time to adjust from being ripped away from their mothers or established groups and forced into a brand new social structure, in a new environment, with new trainers.
