fearisnotafraidofyou: whatever-oursouls-aremadeof: I’m probably going to get hatred for this, but here goes: I have three copies of Wuthering Heights. One is fifty years old, one is filled with A Level annotations, and the other is mysteriously blood stained and so cannot be given away. I decided that it would be nice to immortalise my blood-stained copy by making it into art. Thus far, it has been gathering dust in a box somewhere. If I tear it apart and reassemble it, it can live again. This is hugely cathartic for me, as I’m currently filled with pent-up frustration and a need to destroy and create things. It gives me a project to focus on, in which I can channel my love for literature and Wuthering Heights whilst getting rid of my destructive energy. I’m currently working on some journal pages where I’ve taken snippets from the book and randomly assembled them. I’ll post them when I’m done! ❤️ This is beautiful! (I study English Literature at University in Brighton, one of my final year modules is “Gothic Novels”) and judging from your blog you would like this! Gothic literature is also my favourite ;) I’m doing my dissertation on the Cultural representations of witches! Wuthering Heights is one of my favourite novels! We should hang out! Hahaha Thank you! I would- I’d adore it. Gothic literature is great, especially in the autumn/winter.That sounds amazing! I love WH too, and the Bronte sisters. :DWe definitely should! -- source link
