pumpui-fatty:0nigum0:tenderlovingcares:I’m not saying all men in our community are like this, but THIS is why you can’t have nice things, because I’m going to be 100% honest here, but this how around 75% of the conversations I’ve had with men in this community have panned out - FOR ME. Yes, the other 25% have often been amazing and wonderful and a lot of you reading this are great guys. But if you’ve ever wondered why we’re careful in the kink community, why we get annoyed, why we get defensive about being used as sounding boards. THIS is why.THIS is why women in the feedism community complain about being seen as kink objects first and actual people with comfort zones and boundaries last.THIS is why we’re careful, and reserved, and hesitant, and on our edge as soon as the kink gets mentioned.THIS is why we stop trusting.THIS is why we are tired of getting leveraged into conversations and chats.THIS is why we often prefer lurking over putting ourselves out there.THIS is why we’re tired of looking for someone with our kink.THIS is why we’re so rare to find that many think we don’t even exist.And there are worse examples, there are abusive, violent guys, and I’ve gotten those messages too. But just putting extremes out there isn’t fair and I barely even take them seriously. This is an example of someone I’ve had an okay-ish connection with at the start, going as far as trusting him to have a single skype call and while I did get annoyed at him messaging me multiple times during exam time even if I hadn’t had time to answer yet, I still intended to talk to him at that point. Sometimes having trust like that turned around on you is a lot worse. And about HORNGRY donations… This is not the first time people have tried leveraging kink talk out of me by mentioning donations, or by offering to send me content I’m looking for (like pictures for the Donut Challenge in issue 3) in exchange for kink talk or even nudes. Fuck those people.I’ve put my fucking time and effort into making it and I LOVE making it, for all the awesome men and women out there who have become my friends and family over the years. If you want to say thank you by supporting the project, if you want to do something for the community by giving all the amazing artists and writers that make HORNGRY what it is a platform to put their work out there, if you want HORNGRY to be a voice in the community, then go ahead, donate and it will make my day. It really makes a difference in my life. But if you think HORNGRY itself isn’t worth a thank you and you need me to personally take care of your boner in exchange for your money, then go take your money elsewhere.
