Skink snuggles! These are rainbow skinks - Lampropholis delicata - they sometimes have an iridescent sheen, but are mostly just small and brown. They are from Australia and first arrived in Auckland where they jumped ship in the 1960’s. From there they are steadily spreading across the North Island. -- source link
