Ramesses II massacring his enemiesIn this image Ramesses II wears an elaborate garment, the blue crown, sandals and holds three prisoners by their hair. In his right hand he grips an axe with which he is about to strike his prisoners. The facial features and hair styles of the three men indicate that they belong to three different people: the Nubians, the Libyans and the Syrians.
