Haitians leaves on dust and ashes .. no bones left intact..smhI always cringe with pain and sorrow when I see all the meat and cartilage white people leave behind on chicken bones. Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m talking very specifically about this chart when I say that Chinese people are generally Real N’z, though we can definitely go Nigerian or Haitian under certain circumstances. The proper response to the one on the left is, “You finished with this?“Especially if it’s a wingtip. So many people just don’t know how to eat wingtips.I love crispy wingtips.Incidentally, last week I was unfortunately watching that cooking competition show Chopped on Food Network and one of the ingredients was chicken wings. One of the competitors was a Black chef from, I believe, Chicago, and the white judging panel penalized him for leaving the wingtips on the wing – they literally said that part was unappetizing and should be discarded before cooking. The chef defended himself a bit, saying "It’s subjective, in my family we specifically like eating the wingtips”, and the judges crinkled their noses and shook their heads. Food Network in a nutshell.I have a funny memory from around age 8 or 9, I think, of visiting a white peer’s house and eating chicken wings, and I started crunching on the cartilage and bone and the white kid started crying and ran to his parents whining “He’s eating the bones!” His parents told him not to be judgmental and I just got a kick out of it, I’m sure I had a half-smile and a happy belly. A fond memory. -- source link
