To see an American winning on the highest stage not long after I got into, and became passionate about motorcycles, quickly made Nicky one of my heroes. After learning more about him it solidified that status. I got lucky and got to meet that hero last fall. I know that can be tricky thing, but talking for a few minutes and watching him interact with everyone else I knew all the great things people said about him were true.
