In my world, roughing it doesn’t have to mean rough food. With my portable grill-griddle-stove, a carefully prepped spice/sauce kit, and a cooler full of fresh ingredients, every meal can be one to savour, whether it’s fresh-caught trout or canned beans. Above: Eggs over-easy with potatoes and bacon. French toast with bacon, strawberries, blueberries, and maple syrup. Ramen with tofu, bok choy, pea shoots, mushrooms, string beans. Hearty stews with green salads for dinner (though at night it’s too dark for pictures). No beds or bathrooms or walls, but it’s always high-end eats at Camp Zuky. -- source link
