time-flies-by:aechteaseawb:double-cherry-gal:Heartstrings AU: Every time someone falls for you, you get a string of their heart on your wrist. The size, the color and the placement depends on the love.Kurosawa has countless pink strings covering both his wrists that appear as easily as they disappear. It’s been like that most of his life.Adachi has one red one that appeared suddenly and kept growing thicker over the years. It’s been a source of both comfort and anxiety for him.i. beginningAdachi isn’t the sort of person to get strings. And how sad is that, having bare wrists?Theoretically he knows that bare wrists are nothing to be ashamed of. Plenty of people have bare wrists. But the thing is, it’s been this way his entire life. That’s why he almost misses it when he gets up on that ordinary morning just like any other, bleary-eyed and yawning, when a single red string reflects in the mirror. Keep reading@aechteaseawb + @double-cherry-gal I love your work, but I think it’s time for a Kurosawa POV no? ~•~•~•~•~When the red string first appeared on his wrist, Kurosawa faltered in his steps.Never had he gotten a red string before. Of course, over the years he’s gotten countless strings. All ranging from purple, to pink and sometimes black, but never red. He looks at the string in wonder, how he even noticed it he’s not sure. The string itself is so thin, almost as if unsure or shy, but the vibrant color of red stands out on his wrist. It almost gives him butterflies, key word almost.Kurosawa stares at the string and sighs. Had he gotten it maybe seven years before, he feels he would have been content, desperate even, to find out who it was. But now, he only feels guilt.“I’m sorry, but my heart belongs to another.”Kurosawa stares at the string for a moment more, and then goes on his way.~•~•~•~•~When the string is still there a few days later, Kurosawa has to blink twice to make sure he’s not imagining it. He’d have thought the string would have snapped by now, but instead it seems to have only grown. Kurosawa gives himself a moment to stare in awe.He imagines that the string belongs to Adachi. Oh what a dream it would be if that were true. But he knows he’s getting ahead of himself. Only a few days prior had Adachi asked him to a meal, and even then it had been the first time in seven years that he had done so. There’s no chance it’s his string on his wrist. Kurosawa pulls his sleeves down and keeps on walking.~•~•~•~•~It’s a strange thing, seeing your string on someone else. Evidence of your affection, hanging on tightly to another. Maybe it’s this that gets Kurosawa to confess. He never meant to catch sight of Adachi’s wrist. If the other kept them hidden, it had to be for his own personal reasons. But he had still caught a glimpse, and to see a string so bright and strong, one he knew he gave, well it made him a little dizzy.Seven long years the string’s been sitting there, no signs of fading or growing old.Real concrete proof that Kurosawa had fallen. Goodness knew he feelings weren’t going away, and the closer he and Adachi got, the more he could feel himself drowning in the words he’d never said. He felt it was time to let them out. And if the strings on his wrist only ever came from strangers, and never from Adachi, then so be it.~•~•~•~•~Having matching wrists was pure bliss. Everyday Kurosawa had watched with teary eyes as the red string on his wrist grew. Adachi had his string, and now he had Adachi’s too. The strings looked good together. Kurosawa felt like he could fly.~•~•~•~•~One day, the strings on Adachi and Kurosawa will turn white. And the two will live in their word of happiness when it does.I love?? Kurosawa’s POV? Honestly, thank you! I’m taking this as my new year’s gift. ☺️ -- source link
