mileswalser: This weeks #read78 poetry book was Everyone I Love is a Stranger to Someone, Annelyse Gelman’s #writebloody debut. I enjoyed the playfulness in the imagery even in poems on more serious subject matter, created a super realistic tension that I feel often between fun/joy/magic and sadness/loss/brokenheartedness. “giraffes” was one of my favorites for sure, as well as a poem in the voice of the narrators grandmother.
