So I’ve been looking at this, and in all honesty I’m positive this is a place that is going to have some major tie to Osiris if it appears in game. Osiris has very heavily showing an influence in the form of Egyptian Mythology. The two statues that stand tall at either side and bare a bust at the top have iconography, such as the wings, that bare a resemblance to isis (the goddess). She’s often depicted with wings, or an orb over her head, this seems to apply both. Then there are the veiled statues in front of those, there’s an artistic motif called ‘the Veil of Isis’ that is used to represent Isis. Oh and when was this first mentioned ’On Isis and Osiris’ by Plutarch. In the background we have a pyramid, but with the top lifted and separated, harking to the Illuminati’s all seeing eye (as we have on the US dollar to no end of conversation), Osiris symbol is that of an eye. Osiris was also known to be a Thanatonaut, which granted him visions aka an all seeing eye. We know that in addition to his obsession with the Vex he studied the Hive in detail. In the background we can see a few obelisks, that seem to bare scratches that are reminiscent of hive runes, while we also stee two towers, very similar to vex architecture, rising in the background. Also on the front of the side statues, behind the veiled ladies, we have a sphere, surrounded by a circular maze on banners. The Traveler, surrounded by the maze and wall of the city and it’s streets. Osiris was a vanguard, and i imagine in his heart he still holds the city dear. -- source link
