thewardeness:It Could Have Been: From Animatic To Final (Part 5) // Season 1, Episode 10: Time Police Part 2Notes:The first three caps are a deleted scene from The Warden’s memory of his father. Before he addresses his son, he yells at Jarum more about how the bars are too far apart. This makes slightly more sense in terms of his very heated shout at The Warden when he does finally address him, as he was already in the middle of a red-faced rant. The second deleted scene comes after The Warden leaves the memory. He cries to the bullet that his father kicked over all his LEGOs, and died before he could apologize for doing so. It’s an interesting scene in that, aside from just not having the time, they may have removed it so that the impact of the memory itself sits on the audience, rather than being diminished with the knowledge that The Warden is more upset about his LEGOs.However, I think the scene underlines even more so the amount of denial, repression, etc. that The Warden has. Even with going through the trauma of his father’s death(and abusive tendencies, in the animatic Warden’s father actually hits him with the LEGO Jailbot, where as in the final it flies past him, or at least doesn’t make contact so visibly.) all over again, he still believes if his father HADN’T died, he would’ve apologized. He focuses on that, rather than his father’s actual demise, and even perhaps feeling guilty for it. -- source link
