Two Shillings coin from 1966 (coins-of-the-uk.co.uk) these were withdrawn sometime when I was at University, when the 10p coin was reissued into a smaller version. The old 10p coins had been the same size & weight as the 2s coins to facilitate decimalisation, and therefore many 2s coins remained in circulation for over 20 years after decimalisation in 1971. I always liked the feel of them in the hand, good solid coins, and as with the 20p coin, I liked the Tudor Rose design. -- source link
