it was my first time voting today, & it was incredible to also vote for the first female presidential nominee. the past year, i’ve been trying to be more intentional about learning more about important women from past to present—about their thoughts, their struggles, their accomplishments. i’m taking a course on women & christian tradition, which discusses how women have been viewed in christianity & how it affected them & continues to do so. i’ve learned about so many brave women who have fought for so much & stood in the face of mistreatment & inequality. it was an honor to fulfill their greatest longings as a female voting for a female. as i walked away, i couldn’t help but cry happily. and i hope that tomorrow i’ll be saying “madame president.” // #imwithher #pantsuitpower #ivoted #electionday #firsttimevoter #hillaryclinton #hrc -- source link
