The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)I enjoyed this movie, but my first impression is that it was disjointed. If the first movie was about his mother and parenting, then this is ostensibly about his father and parenting, but the theme shifts a little. It is hard to see the thematic metaphor in the screen shot, but it has to do with the teeth. It is not a spoiler except for giving another clue to the theme.I cannot say too much without spoiling the ending, but the film uses typical werewolf tropes to imply a metaphor over the main character’s actions throughout the film. In the end, it shows an answer/solution to those actions with the way it subverts the werewolf narrative. Well, maybe I only saw it as an answer because it is presented as more of an explanation of how things are, with no answer explored.I think there is more to dissect here with a second viewing, knowing the ending. I believe this is Robert Forster’s last film, and that lends an air of sadness to the proceedings as well since he was one of my favorites. -- source link
