The Casanova of LaSalle Street by Joseph Epstein. Illustration from over the summer for Standpoint Magazine in the UK. The story follows an adulterous man who’s courting a new lady. At their first date, they run into his father who is there with a woman other than his wife while holding open the door for the son’s date. The awkward confrontation leads them to realize this other side of one another. After the younger woman breaks things off, the son discovers why- his father swooped in and won over the young woman that the son brought to the restaurant. Classy family.
