I mean it was a ‘magic’ marker. A silly play on words.Until it worked.The old man on the shop hadn’t counted on him being so inquisitive, methodical. Or had he? Sometimes it was best not to think of these things.It took him over a year to reverse engineer the ink. A year of neglecting his studies, a year of of sneaking unauthorized into the university lab.A year well spent making his own magic markers. They were very popular among the fraternities, enough to fund grad school.And after grad school, well… The income from the magic markers was enough to fund a small lab.
