Anderson, the kid in the red jacket has the same look as James Dean in ‘Rebel Without a Cause’ (which Fry also has in ‘Futurama’). Somewhat inconsistent depiction of where exactly this place is, the boys are coming back from a town but the facility is shown to be in the middle of nowhere, add in that Bart hits Skinner’s car with a grenade fired from a launcher, something with a range of about 400 meters, and either Springfield is the town the boys visit and its very close, which is unlikely as Marge mentions on the tape she sends Lisa that she is “so far away”, or it’s another town we can’t see in the distance and they’ve given Bart a weapon of incredible range and accuracy and made him the single greatest marksman in history.
