halcyonwaitsxvx:xthegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyesx:I went out with Akshya today and bought a bunch of stuff to take with me to Calcutta ^_^ It’s so easy to buy products that haven’t been tested on animals, I don’t understand why people go out of their way to buy cruel products. Also, I know it’s really silly, but I’m so excited about living by myself, I’ve never done it before ^_^ ^_^Hey, that’s great, just one thing though. The Body Shop isn’t cruelty-free. They’re owned by L’Oreal and recently expanded to China, Chinese law particularly requires that all products manufactured there must be animal tested to be sold. Though L’Oreal’s given some sort of a notice that they don’t test on animals, they remain silent about it when mailed evidence against it. Plus L’Oreal tests on animals. So I don’t think it’s a very trustworthy brand. :(Wtf it says on the back in bold letters that they don’t test on animals! What liars.
