evermore-fashion:Favourite Designs: Alexander McQueen ‘Savage Beauty’ Exhibition Pt.2 [ID: a set of 8 photos of various dresses by Alexander McQueen. All the dresses are on slender, faceless white mannequins.1. A floor length white gown with an accompanying bloodred, billowing overcoat with puffed sleeves and a tall, frilly collar. The mannequin is also wearing an elaborated jeweled necklace. It also holds an ornately decorated red lantern, which is almost swallowed in the overcoat.2. The dress is a riff on a traditional Scottish kilt. It’s a one-shoulder red tartan dress with a chunky leather belt cinching it in at the waist. On one side, the tartan skirt is gathered to reveal a delicate petticoat. The single strap of the dress also wraps around the mannequin’s neck like a choker. There is also a sheer white shirt underneath with patches of black lace. Lastly, the mannequin wears mid-calf black socks and heels.3. A white, knee-length off-white dress. The sleeves are exaggeratedly puffed at the shoulder, with a visible lattice underneath to support the structure. It almost resembles angel wings. Over the off-white fabric of the dress, there is ombre lace fading from light brown at the neckline to black at the hem.4. Another off-white dress, this time long enough to drape on the floor with a ruffled train. The dress is tightly fitted and lacy. The mannequin is wearing a headpiece with deer antlers; draped over them is a sheer, light-colored veil with a white leaf pattern. One of the antlers thrusts through the veil entirely.5. A leathery golden-brown leotard with greenish lace resembling leaves draped over the mannequin’s body. It’s arranged as though wind is blowing, or the mannequin is walking, with the lace fluttering to one side. It wears strappy sandals.6. A light purple dress overlaid with black lace viewed from the hips up. It has cap sleeves and a plunging neckline. The collar is very high, and the labels jut straight into the air, to the point of obscuring the wearer’s face (if the mannequin had a head).7. A black knee-length dress entirely covered in sleek black feathers. The dress has massive, exaggeratedly large sleeves along the shoulder and upper arm before fitting tightly around the forearms; similarly, the skirt at the hips juts out and up to form a triangle shape with the tip pointing down. The dress stretches up into a headpiece, covering everything of the wearer’s head and neck aside from the face.8. A crimson feathered dress viewed from behind. The bodice leaves one side of the torso, entirely exposed, and clings tightly to the other and stretches up into a high neck. The skirt is voluminous, like a bell, and the lower layers of feathers fade into a dull purple. End ID] -- source link
