They are considered true bantams, meaning they are a miniature breed with no larger counterpart. Unusually for chickens, which often have quite distinct male and female plumage types, Sebright hens and roosters have similar looking feathering. This seems to be due to the conversion of testosterone to estradiol in the skin of Sebright roosters, which leads them to develop female feathering. Another color variation of this breed, the Silver Sebright, has white feathers with black edges.Such adorable, feisty cuties. -- source link
