Did you know there is a “trap door” in the ceiling of Glencairn’s Great Hall? It is reached by means of a special back staircase, which visitors sometimes catch a glimpse of when they are touring on the fourth floor. When the PItcairns lived in Glencairn, the trap door was occasionally used to launch paper airplanes and balloons!
