Now known as the Earth Guardians, these protectors were led by four kaiju: Mothra, an insect kaiju made in Mother Mothra’s image, and protector of all life on Earth; Rodan, a giant winged monster who ruled the skies; Anguirus, an armored creature who protected the lands; and, the most powerful of them all, Godzilla, a dinosaurian beast of the seas.
