JGY will plan the whole party, plot in an excuse for Zixuan to run off when he’s out of social energy, give him the signal for him to disappear and go collapse in the nursery with his kids, and then JGY will graciously take over his duties as host I cannot see canon!JGY having any real interest in alcohol, because staying in control of himself is so crucially important to him, but I think in an AU where he feels safer at Koi Tower, he might be willing to indulge a little, on a special occasion. so this is two brothers with a slightly stilted, somewhat awkward relationship, where they both are low-key jealous of all the super close siblings around them but have no idea how to take steps to actually build the kind of rapport they want because it requires a level of emotional vulnerability neither of them are good at… both having had a couple drinks on their shared birthday, discussing the cue JGY will give for Zixuan to slip out, and just mutually realising how utterly ridiculous the whole thing is and, being a tiny bit tipsy kind of losing it together for a few moments -- source link
