Cover illustration for Claudia Gray’s The Fallen Star, the next novel entry in the Star Wars: The High Republic series. Many thanks to Scott Biel for taking me onto this project and for his guidance, and my boyfriend for posing as my reference model (in a karate gi!)This piece was immensely challenging because I had to overhaul some elements on a dime. The biggest one was the setting, which used to be completely different. I felt sad about that but I think the final is the right choice because it’s more suggestive and distinctive. -- source link
