An amazing insight from the Book of #Job taught us about “Life-Giving Relationship”, as shared by @paulleeman. Such relationship leads us from focusing on ourselves/ our situation to focusing on God. The life of Job shows us that when grief or devastating event struck us, we all have the tendency to rationalize ourselves in front of God, especially if we have dedicated our lives to Him. Not all our friends help us to overcome our grief, our devastation; some may even try to give the ideas that withdraw us from God (including punishing ourselves). But God never leaves you. When the time comes, we can see that He stretches His hand for us through the person/ people He has chosen, so we can come around - that is when we realize all the struggles we experienced are only to remind us of Him, to test our faith in Him so we can come out stronger than ever before.. in Him (not to mention more blessings as well as we could see at the end of the book!) What Job experienced were great, very great - it is human to focus on ourselves and rationalize things based on human perspective. Well, being Christians, we’re never given the promise we’ll have a happy life, free of sadness, grief, and crises. What God has promised is that when such times come, He never leaves us. Keep your eyes on Him, free your minds out of your own thoughts; try to know His thoughts, His ways, and remember His words… and His love for you. Through Jesus, He has saved us, and He will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. #GloryInOurSuffering: #Rome 5: “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also GLORY IN OUR SUFFERING, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” @jpcc @datekg36 #jpcc #datekg36 #datekelapagading36 #1yearbiblereading #jpccdate #LifeGivingRelationship (at Kondominium Menara Kelapa Gading) -- source link
