ladydeath-vergilswife:millennium-shitpost:millennium-shitpost: millennium-shitpost: remanvonbahamur: millennium-shitpost: millennium-shitpost: isn’t he always he. he blew up a building because he lost a card game Nah…he blew up a because it belonged to his step father. He built a death theme park, with electric chairs, an ax murderer, guillotines, a Tetris room where the block crush you and a torture device built to drive people to insanity in 10 minutes because he lost a card game (and was trapped in a card, feeling how it is to be eaten alive for an unspecified amount of time). But this is also in a world where people being blown up, poisoned with a scorpion and burned alive are things that happen on daily basis, so…he may be a law abiding citizen… the lack of time between the end of the tournament and the actual explosion makes it highly unlikely that he got permission for it on top of that, marik and rishid were pretty clearly in japan illegally, which should have instantly disqualified them from the tournament (not counting all the things that they and other people did that should’ve gotten them all disqualified and yeah, the death-t exists too. and so do those other things, but the incompetence of the domino police force doesn’t mean no laws were broken it’s been established that murder is still illegal there. kaiba seto has killed people. he is not a law abiding citizen he can buy as many cities as he wants - ultimately, he still falls under the control of the japanese goverment and kaiba owns a gun guns are illegal in japan so no, he’s not a law abiding citizen more like “he’s rich so the laws aren’t meant for him to begin with”but in-universe he probably just beat all the lawyers at card games so no one can charge him with anything (marik also could’ve done this but he chose Drama) KC brings in the most money in Domino & Seto is not having any bullshit politician fuck around with the money he pays in taxes to the city. He could drain Domino dry of money if he wanted b/c most of the families love anything he makes. His card throwing is enough to tell me Gozaburo trained him in everything military & flying his jet is a dead giveaway too. Seto has deadly accuracy & if you think him with a gun is scary, imagine him with a set of throwing knives & daggers…yikes!Pssttt…Roland spikes Seto’s drink with strong Russian Vodka to knock his ass out for 12 hours when he hasn’t slept in days & Mokuba doesn’t have a clue about it cuz he’s too busy playing the new games Seto loaded into the VR systems & game consoles.Seto, with all the money he has, absolutely has full command of Domino. As he said in DSOD, “I know everything that goes on in Domino”. Come on, Yugi won the title from him & none of y'all think he won’t keep an eye on the Muto house? He may be cold, but he’s not entirely heartless as he does care about the one who won the title from him…after all, Seto can challenge Yugi for it at any given time as the former champion.Seto can swing either way when it comes to the rules, but when it comes down to kids…he does have a soft spot there. Remember that he & Mokuba were raised by a very evil man after being adopted, but they didn’t give in on making their main dream come true. They’ve got their amusement parks up & running & the joy they bring to so many families that Gozaburo loved to destroy with his wars is better than the outcome of following in Gozaburo’s footsteps. Seto is laid-back when it comes to Mokuba for the most part, but he’s very protective of his little brother. When it comes to saving Mokuba though, there’s nothing he won’t do within reason to get his brother back. He does have a reputation to uphold though within the city limits, so he can’t do as much damage as he wants in public, but that doesn’t mean he can’t build a private area to do the damage he wants. Remember that with Seto, money = power & he has trillions of dollars so if there’s anything he wants or wants done…he will pay extremely well for it. Rules don’t matter when you’ve got money like he does. i’d like to say “a society should not function on the whims of a traumatized teenage gazillionaire” but then i remembered that i live in america so like i don’t really have room to judgeat least in card game land you can change the rules via card game -- source link
