Cecil Aldin (1870-1935) was a British artist and Master of Fox Hounds who was known for his dog portraits and hunting scenes. These illustrations are found in The Cecil Aldin Book, which includes several short stories about dogs written by Aldin and others. Bonnie the dog comes from a story by Marion Brooks Peasley. She writes that Bonnie enjoyed her ride in a doll carriage so much that Bonnie protested loudly after her humans removed her from it. After her humans placed her back into the carriage, she sat there for hours.Images from:The Cecil Aldin Book. New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1932. -- source link
