From late 2019 — MCU Eternals concept art for Marvel Consumer Products of Gemma Chan as Sersei & Richard Madden as Ikarus. Def a challenge, as these were based on (then) upcoming MCU concept art of a more obscure Marvel property, and not referencing iconic comic/cartoon designs of the past (esp Jack Kirby’s OG designs). Since I’m terrible at caricatures, I tried to go for more of a “feel” of the characters as opposed directly representing the actors.I’ll never know if this approach would’ve worked, ‘cause the product line got put on hold indefinitely when the pandemic pushed back the original Nov 2020 release date. -- source link
